Walmart has announced that as of Nov.13th, 2014 it will begin price matching with other major online retailers, namely Amazon. The new policy has officially been approved and passed down through the company to managers and employees, and shoppers will be able to enjoy the benefits right away.

Walmart currently has approximately 5000 locations so this is big news for a lot of consumers nationwide. Prior to today, Walmart’s official price matching policy only applied to other brick-and-mortar retailers –– even though de facto more than half of Walmart’s locations were reportedly already matching prices online anyway. What this means is you’ll now be able to walk into any Walmart and get Amazon’s bargain basement online prices.
